new art tool

In an update that took a lot longer than expected, I've just now added in a new art tool which should be very helpful for drawing complicated shapes. Originally polygon shapes could be interactive or non-interactive. Instead, all polygons must now be interactive, and previous art polygons are now art shapes. Art shapes are superior as they will allow you to draw using bezier curves, and are completely scalable. Each vertex of each shape will have its own handles which control the curve of the line. When placing vertices and creating your shape, click, hold and drag your mouse to adjust the handles.

I've also put the whole drawing of shapes process into the undo chain, so you can undo and redo the drawing of your shape like everything else in the editor. Once created, you can now double click on polygon or art shapes (using the arrow tool) to manually edit their vertices. You can delete vertices with delete, and create new vertices by selecting a vertex and hitting enter. Double click on vertices in art shapes to show their bezier handles if they are hidden. Drag them back into the vertex to remove them and use straight lines.

Artshapes, unlike polygon shapes, are scaleable with a,s,d,w.

I think that's it. I originally put a version of this into a developmental version of the game to assist in building levels for the iphone game. It then seemed like a waste not to reuse the code in the full game, so here it is. I will now go back to my work on the sequel. uhhhh... SEEYA!

Jim,The new art tool almost made me rage quit because of the bug it makes,i made an HD level and my screen turned gray when using the art tool. it says i need to exit group to test but i cant clock anything.only the art tool,then it says it must have atleast 2 verticals but i cant click anything.Please reply

i think when you do the level editor you should make things more precise, no shade but happywheels is kinda of going alittle down hill in my pov i just tried to do a level and when i pressed test it just fell or maybe i just dont understand

Ok, just uploaded a new version... let me know how it goes. I don't think there are any other polygon/art issues. There was an old error that displaced triggers a bit that I fixed a long time ago, however, I allowed it to continue to exist for older levels as to not mess up replays. That was causing new errors though, so all triggers in all levels will now be placed where they were originally intended. So on a couple levels where this existed... pyramid of the gods and starving hobo are the only featured ones I found... will probably have some inaccurate replays for top times. That was the least harmful solution.

@Jim & @ZMangames123 & @bobisdacool1 I think the scaling of polygon shapes (not art shapes, I'm talking about the interactive polygon shapes) is what's causing the problem. All the polygon shapes have been scaled down to its minimum size, making it look like they've disappeared. This also caused some pin joints to glitch when connected to those scaled-down polygon shapes and groups containing such polygon shapes, like in bobisdacool1's YouTube video. I think maybe this happened because the distance between the pin joints and the objects they're connected to has been altered. I opened one of my glitched levels in the editor and scaled the polygon shapes to the size they're supposed to be, and everything was back to normal, including the glitched pin joints.

Uhhh Jim, the new new art tool is causing my levels to crash while I was creating. thise usually happens when I overlap each art shape (each in different opacity) over each other and then grouping the items. when I press the "test" button all that appears is a white screen which I cannot exit out of. try it yourself and see. Hopefully you will fix this ASAP
